About Us

Welcome to Närhälsan Gamlestadstorget clinic! We are a well-established unit located in Eastern Gothenburg, an area undergoing significant development.

The premises are fresh and bright with good communication to the city center nearby. We are 48 people from various professions working here and have approximately 14,350 registered patients of all ages. In the same building, there is a child health clinic, rehabilitation clinic, and midwifery clinic.

We work for good communication across professional boundaries and strive to utilize the massive knowledge that each employee brings. We believe that having influence and the ability to affect planning, scheduling, and tasks is essential for a good working environment. About the Job

Your tasks at the clinic span a wide range of responsibilities and include general medical competence with patients of all ages and situations. You will work independently and variably with outpatient care. Guidance will be provided by an experienced specialist who will support you and facilitate knowledge exchange. We offer you a varied job with good development opportunities. About You

You are a licensed physician authorized to practice within Swedish healthcare and have an interest in primary care and undertaking a residency in general medicine. You possess language skills in Swedish at least at level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

We are looking for someone who is attentive and has a good demeanor since you will meet many different patients at the clinic. You enjoy teamwork, and for you, it is natural to collaborate with colleagues and other partners in your work. We also see that you embody Närhälsan's core values: Reliable, Caring, and Innovative.

Interviews will be conducted on an ongoing basis.

The position is a temporary contract for 6 months, with a possibility of extension and residency training.

If you have trained as a doctor abroad and have not completed your internship in Sweden to obtain a medical license, you are subject to the new regulations regarding Basic Training from July 1, 2021. Basic Training for physicians (BT) is a mandatory introductory part of the residency training in the new regulation ST-2021 (HSLF-FS 2021:8). This means that you need to complete BT before or as an introductory part of your residency.
